Missions and Best Friends

My brother McKay left on his mission last week (tear, well more accurately tears).  We miss Mckay so much, but we are so excited to have him serve the lord. He will be serving in the Canada Edmonton mission. It is one of the coldest missions in the world. It goes all the way up to the North Pole. It will be quite adjustment for McKay, because he loves warm weather.

Mckay and my Dad

When McKay had his farewell, my brother Dave came into town. We don't really care about Dave (just kidding :) ), but we love JaRelle (his wife) and their beautiful baby girl, Peyton. Anna especially loves Peyton. She always carries Peyton's picture around with her. She kisses the picture and tells  the picture that she loves Peyton, all day long.

When Peyton was here, JaRelle and I decided that we needed to take their pictures together. We got some pretty good ones of the girls by themselves but it was ridiculously hard to get a good picture of them together.

I love this picture because it shows the way that Anna loves to pose, and also her attitude.

I think that Peyton is the most beautiful baby. She is also the sweetest baby you have ever met.

The only good picture we got of the two of them.

We love Peyton and can't wait for her to come and visit us again.

Our First Blog AND 4th of July weekend

Eric and I decided that we should start blogging. So here it is. This is mostly just so we can remember our crazy, happy life!

Over the Fourth of July we went to my families Cabin in Island Park. It is one of our favorite places to go. Eric loves to go to Yellowstone and look for wildlife, so we made two trips into the park, and saw several bears. Eric was so excited! Especially when we saw three grizzlies and a wolf eating a buffalo carcass.

The wolf and two of the Grizzlies. The Grizzlies wouldn't let the wolf eat the buffalo, so the wolf would sneak in occasionally. The
bears would promptly run him out.

A random Grizzly bear. We were on our way home and
all of the sudden we look over and there was a Grizzly
bear twenty feet away from us.

We also went boating, had a shotgun shooting contest and ate yummy food. I tried to wakeboard (it gets boring just sitting in the boat) but I don't think it is the safest activity to do when you are pregnant, so I just went in and out of the wake slowly.

Anna rode the tube for the first time, and also got flipped off for the first time. She decided that Kiley and I both needed to ride the tube with her. It is a lay down tube, though, which makes it really difficult to hold her, but somehow we managed. My dad went really slow, but Kiley kept moving over to give Anna more room. In doing so, she made it so the tube flipped over on her side. As we flipped I grabbed Anna and held her high over my head. Lucky for her, she didn't get drenched in water, because I was drowning underneath her. The water is soo cold so she kept yelling "Im cold, I'm cold, I want Grandma!" The coldness of the water scared her enough that she didn't want anything to do with Kiley or me the rest of the boat ride. She only wanted my mom.
